Looking for a fun place to hold your party like a recreation center or park? Or maybe you would like a pool or some one else to do the set up and clean up for you? These, of course, are not the only facilities that host parties, but they a few that we know of that might work for you. They are in categories by city. You may also check with your local church, recreation center, YMCA or park. We've have tried to provide you with as much information as we can but this list is not complete by an means.

Athens

East Texas Arboretum & Botanical Society

East Texas Arboretum and Botanical Society, 1601 Patterson Road, 903/675-5630. 100 acres of gardens, bridges, hiking trails and even a 152 year old historical house. Bur Oak Pavillion at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve

Bob Jones Park and Fishing Pier Pavillon, 3901 N Whites Chapel, Southlake, 817/748-8203. Large pavillon with tabes and small pond for fishing. License required for all persons 16 years of age and older. $100 deposit if more than 40 in a group. $60 for 3 hours and $20 for each additional hour. Bounce Town, 820 Park Blvd, Suite E, Wylie, 972/575-8881. indoor inflatable fun center. Prices range from $175 to $300, weekends are more expensive. Lots of extras available including food, goody bags, cake, balloons. Set times only please call to make reservations. Invite up to 20 kids. Non-refundable deposit required. Churchill Recreation Center, 6906 Churchill Way, Dallas, 21/640-8744. They provide room, tables and chairs and you provide the rest. Advanced reservations required. Open Monday and Tuesday 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday and Thursday 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Small room is $22 an hour. Large room is $48 an hour. On Saturday and Sunday prices increase and a 4 hour rental is required.

Coppell Aquatic Center

Coppell YMCA, 146 Town Center, Coppell, 972-393-5121. Basic Party packages include: party hostess, room, accomodations for 20 children, $10 each additional child, party favors available for $6 per child. Choose from Bounce Mania, 2 hour party $100 YMCA Member, $150 Program Members; Swim-a-Rama, 2 hour party, $100 YMCA Members, $150 for Program Members; Deluxe 3 hour party includes bounce house, pool time, gym time and game room with rock climbing wall and movie screen, $250 YMCA Members, $300 Program Members. Fretz Park Sports and Recreation Center, 6950 Beltline Road, Dallas, 214/670-6203. Gymnasium and room with kitchen are available. Fees range from $12 to $50 an hour during regular hours of operation and during after hours and weekends fees range from $75 to $121 an hour. A $200 deposit is required and no alcoholic beverages or smoking is allowed. www.dallasparks.org

Harry Myers Community Center, 815 E Washington, Rockwall, TX. 972/771-7740. Can accommodate up to 100 people and has a swimming pool. Lifeguards include with rental fee, two hour minimum. $50.00/hour for 50 people or less. $60/hour for 51 to 100 peoople. Can be reserved for up to 6 months in advance. All reservations must be made in person at The Center located at 108 East Washington. Rates for other city rentals include: City residents $40.00/1st rental period, $20 second rental period. Non-city residents: $60.00/1st rental period, $30/2nd rental period. ($25.00 refundable key deposit due at the time the key is picked up). Rental periods are as follows: 6:00 AM -11:00 AM, 12 :00 PM-5:00 PM, 6:00 PM-11:00 PM. Rockwall has over 15 outdoor parks to choose with pavillon rentals at Lofland Park, Harry Myers Park, Shores Park, The Park at Hickory Ridge, and The Park at Fox Chase. Sandy Lake Amuzement Park, 1800 Sandy Lake Road, Coppell, 972/242-7449. I-35 at Sandy Lake Road (Exit 44). They have miniature golf, amuzement rides, and a swimming pool. Many party packages to choose from ranging from $150.00 to $300.00. Reservations and deposit required. Most packages include free admission for up to 40 people. Saginaw Community Center

Cliff Nelson Recreation Center, 4600 W Bardin Road, Arlington, 817/561-2819. Indoor facilities and themed parties available. room rental for 2 hours is $125 for up to 10 children. $5 for each addtional child. North Richland Hills Community Center, 6720 NE Loop 820, NRH, 817/427-6600. Has several party rooms ranging from $20 an hour to $70 an hour. Most include tables and chairs. Reservations required (2 weekd in advance recommended) along with a $100 refundable deposit given no damages occur during your rental time. Hours available are Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to10:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Sunday 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM. After hour rental available on a limited basis and an additional fee of $12 will apply. Renter is responsible for set up and clean up and no alcoholic beverages are allowed. Randol Mill Family Outdoor Aquatic Center, 2800 W Sublett Road in Stovall Park, Arlington, 817/459-5461. $125 for up to 12 children, regular admission chrges apply for additional guests. Party includes swimming pool, cake and punch, table settings and pavillon for 2 hours. Additional costs for pizza and soda meal, party favors, ice cream cups. Henderson

Parties and Celebrations, 414 Hwy 79, 903/657-3204. One party room rented by the hour or by the event. Rates start at $50.00/hour. They set up the room ahead of time and clean up after the party. The Garden Room, Party and Flowers, Marshall

Party and Flowers, 1805 Bomar Street, The Garden Room is available for rent for $425 a day (8 hours) or $75 per hour. Room includes the use of 60 black folding chairs and 8 6' long tables. Whitehouse Park, on FM 346, east of Hwy 110 between the fire department and the police department. Has restrooms, playground and picnic tables with plenty of parking. First come, first serve basis.

Research center at Waco Wetlands
