Most animals on the planet have many ways of surviving in the wild in order to escape or adjust to various elements like predators, harsh weather or lack of food. We'll discuss several ways an animal can conform or adapt to these elements.  These behaviors (and possible animals included) are:

  • Hibernation/Estivation/Brumation- tortoises, ground squirrel, hermit crabs, toad
  • Camouflage- chameleon, leaf frog, stick insect, rabbit, bearded dragon, sea horse (dried)
  • Migration-spider, frog, parrot
  • Colonies/Pack formation-prairie dog, ground squirrel, stick insect, parrot
  • Regeneration- gecko, salamander, starfish(dried)
