Leopard Gecko

Great for all ages!

This lizard loves hot dry climates.  A native of Asia, Africa, Afghanistan, and India, this hearty lizard loves to hide away in the daytime and prowl for food at night.  They love to eat bugs and worms.  Leopard geckos get their name from their beautiful spotted pattern.

Although they store fat in their tails and use them for balance, they will also use them as protection by dislodging from their tails when grabbed by a predator.  No worries, it will grow back.

*Fun fact: geckos keep their eyes moist by licking their eyeballs.  Can you do that?
