A Little About Rick:
Rick comes from Alaska where a rich environment has always been a part of his life. He grew up with several cats and dogs as well as bearded dragons and leopard geckos. He has been a part of our organization for the past few years, starting out working summers while getting his master’s degree.
Rick completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology at Stephen F. Austin State University, and then returned to SFASU to attain his Master of Science degree in Geology. After spending time working as an environmental scientist in Texas, New Mexico, and Louisiana, he decided to return to the Houston area to pursue his passion for wildlife education and working with animals. He is excited to begin his journey as the Houston Instructor for The Creature Teacher and to educate the younger generation in the Greater Houston area.
Rick lives in Spring with his fiancé Sherry, and rescue dogs Apollo and Chic.
Our Program:
The Creature Teacher provides live animal programs for birthdays, schools, scouting events, corporate events, libraries and more in the Dallas, Ft. Worth, Houston, Tyler, East Texas areas. Our programs are wildly educational and unforgettable. We make learning fun.
